Doris Ward Foreman of Charlotte, MI.,

Doris Ward Foreman, age 82, of Charlotte, formerly of Lansing, passed away July 13, 2021, at the age of 82. Doris was born in St. Joseph, on November 16, 1938, the daughter of James Raymond and Isabelle (Smith) Ward. She proudly served her country, first with the U.S. Navy, stationed in Washington, D.C. and Pearl Harbor, then as a military spouse, raising a family at duty stations around the world. Returning to Hawaii, she earned an associate degree in computer programming from Leeward Community College and worked in the payroll department of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. After moving to Webberville, MI, she became a postal carrier in Okemos, then Fowlerville. In her retirement, she worked events at Lugnuts Stadium and the Lansing Center and also worked at Quality Dairy in Holt.

Doris enjoyed relaxing with her dogs, CoCo and Cochise, and watching her grandchildren grow and thrive. She always remembered birthdays and anniversaries with a call or a card with a loving, personal note. She was grateful for the kind staff at Eaton County Health and Rehabilitation Services who made her last years comfortable.
