Floyd Lee Dack of Springport,
Passed away May 20, 2021 at the age of 80. Floyd was born in Jackson, MI, April 29, 1941, the son of Clement and Hazel (Benn) Dack. He worked as a Rural Mail Carrier for 28 years before retiring in 2001. Floyd loved animals and during his time as a postal worker, he rescued many of them. He had many hobbies that included attending old car shows and car races, bird watching, reading, watching the Tigers and, along with his love of outdoors, walking. Floyd was a sentimental man. He and his wife spent their honeymoon at Lake City which is where they spent many of their vacations in later years. Floyd’s family was the center of his world and the time spent with them was his greatest joy.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Belva; daughters, Julie (Scott) Lowder of Jackson, Shellie (Joe) Stephenson of Jackson; son, Jeff (Kris) Dack of Parma; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and sister, Aletha Richardson of Parma. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be 12 pm Tuesday May 25, 2021 at Clinton Rd Bible Baptist Church, 4401 Van Horn Rd. Jackson, MI 49201 with interment immediately following in Tompkins Cemetery. Visitation will take place the hour before the service. Arrangements were entrusted to the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel in Eaton Rapids.
