Robert Leonard Williams of Eaton Rapids formerly of Indian River,
Passed away February 13, 2020 at the age of 85. He was born in Detroit on April 2, 1934, the son of Chester and Antoinette (Pukas) Williams. Bob served his country as a Diver in the US Coast Guard for over 14 years. He played professional football for the Detroit Lions from 1953-1957 and took part in the 1953 and 1957 championships. Bob worked as a groundskeeper at Black Bear and Little Traverse Bay Golf Courses. He also worked in the Mines, Home Healthcare and was a NASCAR driver. He enjoyed downhill skiing, fishing, hunting and leatherworking, making holster, belts and wallets. Bob loved his family dearly, was a devoted husband and a kind hearted man that went above and beyond to help anyone in need.
Bob is survived by his wife, Kim; 10 children; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
